Dig for Victory was a response to a wartime problem of food shortages but the campaign reflects things that we are concerned about today – having access to fresh healthy food, being active and living sustainably.

24th & 25th May - Family Launch Weekend
Arts and Crafts activities and games on the theme of recycling

27th-30th May - Half Term Activities
A variety of arts and crafts activities based around the themes of recycling and ‘Make-do and Mend’ such as glass painting, bead making, building toys and games out of recycled materials.

8th June - Sustainability Sunday 'Wild in the Parks'
This Sunday will focus on gardening for wildlife. An expert from the RSPB will be on hand to answer questions about attracting more wildlife to your garden

15th June - Sustainability Sunday 'Living Sustainably'
This Sunday will focus on recycling, living sustainably and energy conservation.

22nd June - Sustainability Sunday 'How does your garden grow?'
Meet the experts from the Royal Parks Q&A session at the allotment - all your horticultural questions answered.

21st-25th July - Recycling Week
Arts and crafts activities from Ginger Cat Productions and performances of ‘A Tale of Two Stickies’ which is a play set on a rubbish dump that features a wide array of characters including two rats who are worried that increased recycling will leave them without a home.

25th – 29th August - Wildlife and Gardening Week
Arts and craft sessions, linked to local wildlife. Create useful and interesting objects and learn new skills and facts.Watch performances of a new play based on the need for different bugs and the part they play in the world around us.

27th & 28th September - Harvest Fair
'Harvest arts and crafts activities - straw dolls, pom pom animals and potato printing.There will be talks from Home Front Friends, specialists in World War II cooking, a petting zoo and the Royal Parks and Fullers shire horses will be available for meet and greet.
